Disney World's FASTPASS
Initiated in 1999, Disney’s FASTPASS is a free, state-of-the-art reservation system that will help you avoid the crowds at select rides and attractions of Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Highly recommended as a way to plan your theme park itinerary, FASTPASS is available to all park guests.
To utilize the FASTPASS system, simply visit the FASTPASS ticket machine that lies at the entrance of each FASTPASS attraction and insert your admission ticket. You will then be issued a FASTPASS ticket that indicates the time frame that you can return to the attraction later in the day without waiting in the regular line. During your designated ride time, make sure you enter the FASTPASS line. A Disney cast member will then collect your FASTPASS ticket. It’s that simple!
Note: FASTPASS return times usually run anywhere from 40 minutes to 2 hours and sometimes longer depending upon the time of year and popularity of the attraction. Some thrill rides such as Expedition Everest are so popular that FASTPASS becomes unavailable for them by mid-afternoon. Plan ahead and get your FASTPASS early in the morning for these attractions.
